PATTERN STITCHES:
Morningside Stitch: (multiple of 2 sts)

Set-up Rnd: *K1, bring yarn forward, slip 1 st
purlwise; bring yarn over RH needle creating
a yo*; rep from * around.
Rnd 1: *Bring yarn forward, slip 1 st purlwise;
bring yarn over RH needle creating a yo,
k2tog (the next stitch and its corresponding
yo from the previous rnd)*; rep from *
around.
Rnd 2: *P2tog (the next st and its corresponding
yo from previous rnd), with yarn
still forward, slip 1 st purlwise, wrap yarn
around needle 1 time, creating a yo; rep
from * around.
Rep Rnds 1 and 2 for Morningside Stitch.
Sewn Bind Off: Cut yarn leaving a tail at
least 3 times as long as the edge that will be
BO. Thread tail through a tapestry needle
and BO as follows: *put the needle through
the first 2 sts to be BO, from right to left, go
back through the first st from left to right, pull
the yarn through and slip the first st off the
needle. Rep from * until 1 st rem, pull yarn
through to fasten off.
NOTE:
1. CO is worked with 2 strands of yarn held
together. The rest of pc is worked with only a
single strand of yarn.
NECKWARMER
With 2 strands of yarn held together, CO 72
(76) sts. Place marker for beg-of-rnd, being
careful not to twist sts, join to begin to work
in-the-rnd. Cut 1 strand of yarn and cont
using a single strand of yarn throughout.
Begin Morningside St; work even until pc
meas 61⁄2 (43⁄4)" from beg, ending after Rnd
2 of Morningside St. Finishing Rnd; *Slip 1 st
purlwise wyib, k2tog; rep from * around. Using
Sewn Bind-off method, BO all sts.
