* Lion Brand Pound of Love medium (worsted) weight yarn (16 oz/ 1,920 yds/448g per skein)
o 1 skein each #102 bubblegum and #101 pastel pink
* Size M/13/9mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
* Tapestry needle

With 2 strands held tog: 3 sc = 1 inch; 3 sc rows = 1 inch

Upper Wing
Make 2
Inner Ring
Rnd 1: With 2 strands pastel pink held tog as 1, ch 8, sl st in beg ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join in beg sc. (8 sc)
Rnds 2-30: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Sew first and last rnds tog to form ring. Flatten and sew opening on inside of ring closed.
Middle Ring
Rnd 1: With 1 strand pastel pink and 1 strand bubblegum held tog as 1, ch 11, sl st in beg ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join in beg sc. (11 sc)
Rnds 2-61: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Sew first and last rnds tog to form ring. Flatten and sew around Inner Ring (see photo).
Outer Ring
Rnd 1: With 2 strands bubblegum held tog as 1, ch 16, sl st in beg ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join in beg sc. (16 sc)
Rnds 2-94: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Sew first and last rnds tog to form ring. Flatten and sew around Middle Ring.
Lower Wing
Center
Rnd 1: With 2 strands pastel pink held tog as 1, ch 8, sl st in beg ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join in beg sc. (8 sc)
Rnds 2-40: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Roll 1 end into a coil until there is a 5-inch length below coil. Tack tog to secure.
Inner Ring
Rnd 1: With 1 strand pastel pink and 1 strand bubblegum held tog as 1, ch 8, sl st in beg ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join in beg sc. (8 sc)
Rnds 2-62: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Sew first and last rnds tog to form ring. Flatten and sew around Center.
Middle Ring

Rnds 2-186: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off at end of last rnd.
Assembly
When you crochet the body it will form a tube. Fold the tube in half (bottom end), flatten and shape. The body is twisted like a pretzel (4 times) and then the top ends go up and form the right and left antenna and have a coil like the photo shows.
1. Sew Upper Wings to Lower Wings, overlapping slightly.
2. Sew Wings to each side of Body.
3. Coil each end of Body slightly and tack to secure for antenna.
4. Tack each antenna to top of corresponding Wing.
